Svedberg Law is a sole practice constituted under the laws of England/Wales and is authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).  A copy of the SRA Code of Conduct, which sets out the rules of professional conduct which apply to solicitors, is available on the SRA’s website, http:\\www.sra.org.uk.  The principal of Svedberg Law is a solicitor qualified in England and Wales.

Svedberg Law takes out and maintains the professional indemnity insurance it is required to carry under the SRA Indemnity Insurance Rules 2011 with Travelers Insurance Company Limited.

Svedberg Law is not authorised under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, but we are able in certain circumstances to offer a limited range of investment services to clients because we are authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority of England and Wales. We can provide these investment services if they are an incidental part of the professional services we have been engaged to provide.

Because Svedberg Law is not authorised by the UK Financial Services Authority, we are retained only to provide legal advice to our clients. In particular, we do not give advice on the merits of investment transactions, and nothing we say or do should be construed as an invitation or inducement to engage in investment activity.

Complaints

Svedberg Law is committed to providing a high quality legal service to all our clients.  A copy of our complaints procedure is available upon request.  If you have a concern or a complaint, please contact us as soon as you are aware of the problem so this can be addressed.  Concerns or complaints should be addressed to Annabelle Svedberg, Svedberg Law, 125 Sloane Street, London SW1X 9AU.  We would expect to resolve any problem to your satisfaction.  If we do not, you may be able to ask the Legal Ombudsman to help you resolve your complaint.  You can do so by writing to them at Legal Ombudsman, PO BOX 6806, Wolverhampton WV1 9WJ or by calling 0300 555 0333.  Any complaint to the Legal Ombudsman must usually be made within six months of your receiving a final written response from us regarding your complaint.  The Legal Ombudsman has provided further guidance on its services at www.legalombudsman.org.uk.  If your complaint relates to your bill, you may also be able to apply to court for an assessment of the bill under Part III of the Solicitors Act 1974.

Anti-Corruption statement

Svedberg Law has a zero tolerance policy towards bribery and corruption.  It is our policy to conduct all of our business in an honest and ethical manner.  We are committed to acting professionally, fairly and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships wherever we operate and implementing and enforcing effective systems to counter bribery.

This firm is subject to the UK Bribery Act 2010 and has adopted an anti-corruption policy based on an assessment by Svedberg Law of the external and internal bribery risks that face us and reflects fundamental standards that Svedberg Law expects those who perform services for us and on our behalf to abide by when acting on our behalf.
